From Liverpool.
Driving from Liverpool Liver Buildings. Take A565 signposted Bootle, Crosby Southport.
Continue north along dual carriageway, passing Seaforth Container terminal on your left.
Over Flyover, ignore first sign for Another Place at Traffic Lights.
Continue along Crosby Road South then Crosby Road North past Plaza Community Cinema.
Just after Tesco Express on right, turn left at traffic lights facing Merchant Taylor's School, down College Road to roundabout.
First Left down Mersey Road, over railway and straight across mini roundabout into Mariners Road following signs for Leisure Centre. There is a Car Park at the bottom of Mariner's Road by the Leisure Centre, just by the beach.
(There is an Another Place sign here pointing right which will take you to a large car park on the promenade at the bottom of Hall Road by the coastguard station, this is at the northern end of the Another Place installation.)

If you miss turnoff at College Road, continue north along Liverpool Road, turn left at T junction in
Crosby Village, left again down Coronation Road.
Cross roundabout into Mersey Road then over railway as above.


From M58, M57, Switch Island roundabout.
Follow signs for Southport and Formby, turning right at Copy Lane and along Northern Perimeter Road. Straight across junction into Green Lane. At lights after Nag's Head pub turn left down Moor Lane for Crosby village. From here continue as above straight down Coronation Road, Mersey Road and Mariner's Road to Leisure Centre.


The Merseyrail Southport line which runs from Liverpool Central and Moorfields Stations stops at Waterloo Station, from which it is a twelve minute walk to the beach; Blundellsands and Crosby Station from which the beach is a five minute walk - this location will put you right in the centre of the iron men on the beach.  The next station for the beach is Hall Road, again the beach is a five minute walk away. It is possible to alight at Hall Road, walk along the beach to Waterloo and return from Waterloo Station in South Road, a walk of around an hour and a half.

Refreshments
There are toilets and drinks vans at Hall Road Car Park, a cafe at the Leisure Centre, and restaurant and bar at the Lakeside Adventure Centre in Waterloo by the large lake behind the dunes. South Road in Waterloo contains many cafes and bars as does Coronation Road and Crosby village.
